Top Pot doughnuts are anything but run of the mill.  We’ve enjoyed their doughnuts at Starbucks for the past few years.  Since we had the opportunity to go directly to the source on our Seattle trip, we couldn’t pass it up. Top Pot started on Capitol Hill about 9 years ago and has expanded to 7 locations around Seattle, including the mobile doughnut unit.

We visited the location near Belltown on 5th.  This place was huge with ample seating for over a hundred people.  A few busloads of people could stop here for coffee and doughnuts and they’re would still be room for more.

Top Pot has been featured on just about every Travel Channel and Food Network program over the years, in addition to most travel publications.  For most places, that means things go downhill quickly, once fame sets in.  Not here.  With over 40 different kinds of doughnuts, you’ll definitely find a favorite.  We sampled just 3 or 4 but each one was pretty much perfect.  Whether you like “cake-sty;e” or “raised style”, you’re be in seventh heaven.

So when you visit Seattle, make sure to stop in one that’s near you.  It won’t be hard to find.  Also, their coffee is also great, so make sure to give that a try, too.
