40 Hands Coffee is located in the Tiong Bahru neighborhood. It’s tiny and narrow, so as you’re walking up the street, keep your eyes peeled or you’ll miss it. In addition to a few tables inside, it also has a few tables out on the front sidewalk. The front sidewalk is covered, so you’ll be able to stay out of the heat.

40 Hands get their name from the average number of hands it requires to produce coffee from plant to cup.

The coffee here was very good. It’s definitely worth seeking out. They roast and serve their own house blends, as well as rotate in micro-blends and single origin coffees each week.  That way, you can always try something unique.  In addition to coffee and tea, they also have small breakfast items, pastries and oddly enough, various varieties of hot dogs. It sounds quirky, but it works. It’s owned by Spa Espirit Group, which also owns Tiong Bahru Bakery and Open Door Policy nearby.

Note that 40 Hands is closed on Mondays.
