We stumbled across the Lucky Llama on our way back to Los Angeles from the Santa Ynez wine country. This quirky little espresso house has great coffee.
Just a few blocks off the Linden Av exit from the 101 and a few blocks from Carpinteria Beach Park, sits the Lucky Llama. It sits back a bit from Carpinteria Avenue, so keep your eye out.
The Lucky Llama has great espresso. And they serve it in a lot of unique combinations, if you’re not an espresso purist. The combinations change based upon the changes in the seasons. The baristas behind the small counter know what they’re doing and while sometimes service is a bit slow, it’s worth the wait. The Lucky Llama is also known for it’s breakfast bowls. Featuring a wide array of acai bowls and oat bowls, every review you’ll read raves about them. We didn’t have a chance to try them, but it’s something you might want to consider.
The shop is long and narrow, with a few various style chairs and sofas inside. Out front, there’a large patio area with plenty of seating to enjoy the California weather.
