Tofino, BC V0R 2Z0
We’ve been visiting Tofino every year for over 12 years. We were very excited to see a coffee roaster and espresso shop open in such a small town. Well, only disappointment ensued.
The espresso itself isn’t great, but it’s not bad. The service is well, not good. Non-existant would be the right words to describe it, but not entirely true since there was actually a person there to take money and serve the espresso. With barely a grunt of a greeting, we ordered, were served and back to reading his book.
The shop itself is not made for lingering. It’s a semi-small space, but no tables. A bench or two along the walls and nothing else. They do have beans available for purchase. They had only been open for three months when we visited, but still, no tables? Not one?
For our money and just for at least some semblance of friendly service, you’re much better off at the Tofitian to the south or head on into town proper to either Tuff Beans or Vincente’s.
We will check this place out again later this year, but until then, spend your money elsewhere in Tofino for espresso that’s just as good.
