We love to travel and it shows. We’re a small group of GenX individuals who have been to all 7 continents and over 47 countries. It all started 12 years ago with a backpacking trip to Europe. Over time, we’ve added people to our group and we’ve shed a few along the way as well.
Everyone has a different idea of what travel, time off, vacation or holiday should be. For us, it’s all about enjoying ourselves, having fun and experiencing other cultures. We try to travel off the beaten path, just as often as we visit popular destinations. We can’t forget adventure. What’s travel without adventure? From hiking in the wilds of Patagonia to bungee jumping from bridges in New Zealand. But, all this talk about adventure, doesn’t mean we’re spending nights in hostels. Our goal is travel as inexpensively as possible, but not skimp on quality or luxury. With a little investment of time, you’d be amazed at how inexpensively you can travel, yet have a five star experience.
How often do we travel? Well, some people thing we’re always anywhere but at home. We take 2-3 major international trips per year on average and 5-6 shorter trips that are usually in the US. A majority of those trips are to new destinations, but we do have our favorites that we visit on a regular basis.
Over the years we’ve learned alot. We’ve made a lot of mistakes. But, we’ve also had a great time, no matter what has happened. We believe that’s a key to a successful trip. Don’t let a few obstacles ruin a trip. When you’re prepared and armed with the right information, you can overcome just about anything that may get in the way of the perfect vacation.
So, that brings us to why we started this website. In the past few years, our friends, co-workers, acquaintances, friends of friends, etc., have increasingly asked us for travel advice and recommendations. We figured there are probably alot of others out there who could benefit from our experiences (both good and bad).
There are a lot of travel websites out there. Unfortunately, that’s part of the problem. There are A LOT of websites to check out. We’ll try to make it easier for you. We do a ton of research before we travel. Over the years, we’ve found the right resources to help you do the right research in a short amount of time. We know how to travel right and travel light. A little time and research before you leave, can make the difference between a great trip or a stress filled disaster. Let our experiences help make your travel experiences better. Unfortunately, money doesn’t grow on trees. So, to help us maintain this site, we include ads on various portions of the site to help us cover our costs. Most of the ads on our site are from companies that we’ve done business with and can highly recommend. One exception are Google Ads (which are plainly marked).
